Event Description
Join us at the Tamworth Library to meet Nundle local author Dr. David Beirman! We are getting a special opportunity to hear from David just before he travels to Hong Kong for the official global launch of Risk and Tourism Marketing in Asia.
This is the sixth publication for David, and is his most ambitious work as yet. Along with his co-editor and 47 other contributing authors from 18 Countries, David’s upcoming release covers the destination marketing strategies and risk management strategies of 18 Asian countries, which in 2025 were visited by 7 million Australians, showcasing how Asian destinations are entering a new normal.
With its diverse cultures, stunning landscapes and historical sites, Asia draws tourists from all across the world. This book looks at the development of the countries’ tourism branding and strategies over the decades. It also discusses the common challenges they face, including climate change, overtourism, natural disasters and geopolitical unrest.
David will have copies of Risk and Tourism Marketing in Asia available at the event for purchase, so come and hear from David at the library about this facinating resource on tourism!
