A conversation about the State Library’s vital family history work and research, the complex ethics and challenges that arise, and the powerful stories that emerge.
Every day Library staff help visitors uncover the threads of their past — from the Indigenous Engagement branch’s work supporting First Nations family history research to the use of electoral rolls, manuscripts, maps and convict records. During Family History Month, join us at Tamworth City Library for a conversation about the work in drawing together the threads of family history: the complex ethics, the practical challenges and the powerful stories of discovery that emerge along the way.
The 1-hour panel discussion is presented by the State Library of New South Wales and Schwartz Media, and livestreamed at Tamworth City Library, Wednesday 5th August 2026 at 6:00pm
